TIPS FOR CATCHING A CON ARTIST

Be proactive in the fight against fraud. Below are steps that you can take to let others know about CUFF's Fraud Watcher program.

(1) Tell your co-workers.

(2) If you have a YouTube or MySpace page, link to CUFF's Fraud Watch form.
(3) Inform your local media so they can encourage viewers to become Fraud Watchers.
(4) When you suspect a friend is being scammed, tell them to come to CUFF to find out before it is too late.
(5) If you participate in chat rooms, tell the other members about the program.
(6) Contact the dating sites you belong to and ask the administrators to put a link to us on their site in order to discourage con
artists from joining.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPORTING A CON ARTIST
If you believe you are being conned by someone on the Internet, complete the form below. CUFF investigators will review the information and determine if there is sufficient evidence to open an investigation. If we conduct an investigation and it is clear that the person you are dealing with is a con artist in action, we will work with our media partners and law enforcement to film an undercover arrest. If the evidence, however, is not substantial enough to support fraud, you may want to order CUFF's $59.00 background search in order to uncover information about the subject that could be used to prove your claims of fraud. Your participation in the filming of the undercover sting will be up to you. It may be possible for you to remain anonymous. This will be a decision made by you and the producers of the program. Only fraudsters residing in the U.S. can be investigated under this program.
